January 2009Quarantine..Quarantine..Quarantine..Melbourne's Biggest & Best Service
L.Arthur recently launched the opening of Melbourne's largest Quarantine Services facility.
L.Arthur operates an AQIS 1.1 approved licenced depot 24 hours 6 days per week (Monday 6.30am to Saturday 12 noon). We offer a full range of one stop Quarantine related services including tailgate inspections for all containers (within 15 minutes), container foot & mouth steam cleaning, fumigation & verification, FCL & LCL container unpacking and inspection of goods under AQIS instructions (clear of Customs), machinery washing and gas checks/ventilation/rechecks.

L.Arthur has recently completed a major site re-development & capital improvement project as well as having undertaken some significant & rewarding changes to offer our customers tremendous service going forward into 2009. This includes:
• Expanding our facility and re-designing our AQIS 1.1 licenced Quarantine Services facility to provide the biggest Quarantine facility in the Melbourne marketplace.
• Increasing the size of our container yard and overall footprint of our facility.
• Increasing our staffing levels to provide more reliable, focused, efficient and dedicated customer service.
• Expanding our truck fleet, implementing additional truck drivers and introducing additional operational equipment across all of our Divisions (Machinery, Containers, Quarantine and Warehousing & Distribution Services).
• Upgrading our internal IT system to offer more timely information and provide an improved level of communication with further enhancements being rolled out in 2009.
• Introducing a range of initiatives to improve the level of communication and interaction with our customers.
Delivery Orders
As of 1st January 2009, Patrick’s are introducing a $35 (plus GST) charge for all non-electronic transactions at their four container terminals, East Swanson Dock, Fisherman Islands, Fremantle North Quay and Port Botany.
On this basis we urge you to make contact with your Shipping Lines to ensure all delivery orders are received electronically.
If L.Arthur is charged for any paper based Delivery Orders, these charges will be onforwarded.
December 2008DP World - Sundays

June 2007L Arthur Purchases Large Over Dimensional Float
L Arthur has recently purchased a large float capable of carting heavy and over-dimensional loads of up to 50 tonnes. L Arthur's prime location opposite the port of Melbourne means this equipment is already very busy bring out-of-gague loads back to L Arthur's AQIS depot for quarantine treatments. L Arthur is aiming to achieve SafetyMap accreditation in 2007. Having invested a significant amount of time and resource into safety systems the next step is to achieve formal accreditation. L Arthur has again expanded its AQIS facilities with the expansion of its Machinery Wash Bay. The wash bay is designed for plant and machinery and is under cover with tooling and washing capacity to enable the speediest turn around in Melbourne.
